SaaS Analytics Dashboard
The dashboard layout I build for B2B products: KPIs legible in three seconds, a revenue trend, channel split, and a sortable account table.
Self-initiated. Built to demonstrate an approach — no client, no brief, no results to report.
The problem
Most analytics dashboards fail the same way — everything is on screen and nothing is answered. The design problem is deciding what a specific person opens this to find out, and then giving the rest of it less room.
What I did
- Put four KPIs across the top with their period-over-period movement, because that is the entire question for anyone opening a dashboard between meetings.
- Built every chart in SVG by hand. The shapes are few and fixed, and a charting library would have outweighed the whole view.
- Validated the chart colours against the dark surface for both contrast and colour-vision separation. They are deliberately dimmer than the site accent — the bright lime falls outside the readable lightness band on dark, so matching the brand here would have cost legibility.
- Made the account table genuinely sortable rather than a screenshot of one. Every control on the page works.
Where it landed
A concept, with no client and no results to report. What it demonstrates is the layout decision — hierarchy by question rather than by data availability — and that the interactive parts are real.
The interface, running
This is the real thing, not a screenshot. Every control on it works.
